چکیده

Resolution enhancement is a basic and important technology in image/video processing. The goal of resolution enhancement is to reconstruct high-resolution image frames from the corresponding lowresolution versions. In this paper, an adaptive resolution enhancement scheme based on iterative backprojection was proposed. According to sub-pixel interpolation, additional information composed of several low-resolution shifted images can be created. After giving initial estimates for each low-resolution shifted image, reconstructed high-resolution images are derived by using a modified iterative back-projection and then fused to be a high-resolution one. Finally, a post-processing is utilized to reduce the blocking artifacts within the reconstructed high-resolution images. According to performance comparison, the experimental results, in terms of PSNR and NQM, demonstrate that the proposed scheme is superior to these existing methods.

Fast System Matrix Calculation in CT Iterative Reconstruction

Introduction: Iterative reconstruction techniques provide better image quality and have the potential for reconstructions with lower imaging dose than classical methods in computed tomography (CT). However, the computational speed is major concern for these iterative techniques. The system matrix calculation during the forward- and back projection is one of the most time- cons...

Deblurring And Denoising with Edge Enhancement of Satellite Images Using Super Resolution Techniques

In this paper we propose two algorithms of super resolution techniques. We introduce the Iterative Back Projection (IBP) algorithm in the case of deblurring images and second algorithm consist an edge-enhancing superresolution algorithm using anisotropic diffusion technique. Because we solve the super-resolution problem by incorporating anisotropic diffusion and IBP, these techniques does more ...

Improving image resolution by adaptive back-projection correction techniques

— The paper describes a back-projection based algorithm, improved by adaptive techniques, able to reconstruct a high-resolution image from multiple low-resolution frames. The proposed approach is mainly based on a specific metric, the uncertainty degree, used in pixel reconstruction and on a local Auto-iterative approach for error correction. Using uncertainty the amount of computation is sensi...
